Pitta bread pizza recipe? Yes, pizza made of pitta bread! It tastes as amazing as it sounds and is very simple too. All you need is clean pitta (Waitrose and Co-operative sell some) bit of tomato sauce, Bufallo Mozzarella and clean chorizo (the best one is Unearthed from Waitrose).

Clean Eating Pitta Bread Pizza Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Wholemeal pitta breads
  • 2 tbsp of tomato puree, red pesto or sundried tomato whipped in a blender to a paste
  • Few slices of chorizo (make sure it contains no sugar or nitrates)
  • 1/2 pack Buffallo Mozzarella, chopped into slices or chunks
  • Handful cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried thyme, rosemary or dried basel
  • Fresh parsley - optional

Instructions

  1. Heat your grill up.
  2. Spread each pitta bread with 1 tbsp tomato purée, pesto or whatever sauce you are using and sprinkle over the dried herbs
  3. Divide the chorizo between the pittas, add the mozzarella and cherry tomatoes and pop under the grill
  4. Grill until the cheese is golden and bubbling
